Nonetheless, Rashida credits them with helping her establish her voice because they instilled confidence in her from the start. She also admits that, unlike her elder siblings, she was able to get the most of her father since she spent so much time with him at home while she was growing up.

The actress explained:

“My dad was a different parent to each one of them. I think my older sister would say he was never around. I have siblings who grew up in Sweden, when my dad and their mom got divorced, and they came to live with us eventually, but my dad was around a lot for me.”

Kidada Jones: A Model Who Dated Tupac Shakur

Rashida has an older sister named Kidada, who was born on March 22, 1974, in Los Angeles, California. They share both parents and were nurtured in the Reformed Jewish tradition.

Unfortunately, Kidada struggled in childhood, particularly with blending in with her peers. This led to her being expelled out of 11 schools by the age of 15. Things only got better after she started working with renowned designer Tommy Hilfiger when she was 19.

Although she has worked in other fields outside of modeling, such as acting, her most significant contribution has been to the fashion industry.

She worked for prominent magazines such as Elle and Vogue and even styled celebrities like the late Michael Jackson. Interestingly, Kidada had been dating Tupac Shakur for several months before to his terrible passing.

Bruce Weber, who had previously worked as a photographer for her mother, spotted her and pushed her to follow in her mother’s footsteps into modeling. As a result, she signed with many agencies, including The Lions and Ford Models in Paris, and has appeared in several fashion magazines.

Quincy Jones III: A Producer

He developed a liking for hip-hop at an early age, which he demonstrated by participating in break-dance tours. Quincy Delight was 13 years old when he received his first drum machine, which introduced him to the world of music production. Three years later, he relocated to New York to pursue a career in music production.

She moved back to the United States in her late teens and resumed studying dance. After a while, she followed in her mother’s footsteps and became a model, as have some of her siblings. She went to photography after retiring from the catwalk.

Although she was not as well-known in her professional life as her younger sisters, she nonetheless built a name for herself in the field.

Rachel Jones: A Veterinarian

Rachel is another of Rashida’s older siblings; she was born in 1963 as a result of Quincy’s romance with Carol Reynolds following his divorce from his first wife, Jeri Caldwell.

Rashida’s mother was a professional dancer, but Rachel is the only one of her siblings who did not pursue any of her parents’ vocations. Instead, she pursued a different route, studying medicine and caring for animals.

She graduated from Tuskegee School of Veterinary Medicine with a veterinary degree in 1999. She later established an animal hospital in Marina del Rey, Los Angeles.

Jolie Jones: An Activist

Rashida’s oldest sibling is Jolie, whose mother was Quincy’s first wife, Jeri. Unlike some of her younger siblings, she did not create a big name for herself in modeling, but it was an important aspect of her professional development.

She started that career at the age of 15, working for Ford Models in New York. Later, she pursued other interests, such as singing and writing. However, activism would eventually become her true love.

Her purpose is to raise public awareness about the dangers surrounding people’s exposure to radio frequencies radiated by everyday devices such as cell phones and Wi-Fi routers, among others. This is because she suffers from Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity.
