In a new video posted to his Instagram account on Tuesday, Aug. 27, the House of Hammer subject, 37, revealed that he’s selling his beloved truck for a more cost-efficient.

“So, I’ve been back in L.A. for a couple of weeks now, this is my truck,” he began in the selfie clip.

“I bought this for myself in 2017 as a Christmas gift for myself,” the actor said of his 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Pickup. “I have loved this truck intensely and taken it camping and across the country multiple times and on long road trips, and I took it for one last road trip to CarMax.”

Hammer insisted that his video was “not an ad for CarMax” as he panned the camera to show the company’s sign before getting into his vehicle for the last time.

“This is because I’m selling my truck. Since being back in L.A., I have put about 4 or 500 dollars worth of gas in it, and I can’t afford it. I can’t afford the gas anymore,” Hammer confessed.

“But you know what? That’s okay. I got a new car. It’s tiny. It’s a hybrid. I’m probably gonna put about 10 bucks of gas in it a month, and this is it,” he said, adding, “Here’s to new beginnings. It’s my birthday tomorrow.”

According to Hammer, “on August 28,” he will be “starting my birthday in a new car, in a new apartment, in a new life in Los Angeles.”

He then thanked his vehicle for getting him a long way: “I appreciate it all. I hope you take as good of care of the next person.”

In July, Hammer appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored, where he discussed past allegations made against him — including accusations of sexual and physical abuse, as well as cannibalism.

During the televised interview, the actor denied that he had ever “eaten any human flesh.”

He also admitted to “a very intense affair” that led to his divorce from Chambers, 42, in 2023.

Hammer claimed the repercussions of the cannibalism and branding accusations made him consider suicide, but he decided against it because of his kids — who he was later only allowed to see while supervised.

“He wants to prove himself and win back credibility by clawing his way back into Hollywood,” one insider said. “He doesn’t want to be seen as taking favors.”

Added another source: “He hasn’t been leaning on family money or what people might think because he’s a ‘Hammer.’ It seems like he’s really put in the work with treatment.”
