Simon didn’t take her seriously at first, but then his jaw dropped. She took on the hardest instrument in the world and absolutely nailed it!

Talent shows often reveal unexpected stars, and the incredible Lettice Rose Rowbotham is the typical example.

Though she was just 24, this violinist made a lasting impression on audiences with her humor and charisma before even picking up her instrument. But her electrifying performance was what truly wowed everyone, leaving the crowd stunned.

The violin might not be the first instrument that comes to mind for rock and roll, but it has a long history as one of Europe’s most celebrated string instruments. It originated during the Renaissance in Italy, evolving from the viola da braccio, meaning “viola of the arm.” By the 18th century, the violin had firmly established itself as a favorite across Europe.

Lettice, a Surrey native, supposedly arrived at her *Britain’s Got Talent* audition with a bit of a hangover.

Yet, against all odds, she delivered a standout performance, defying skeptics who may have expected less. Her energetic act not only captivated the audience but also secured her a spot in the show’s finals.

It’s uncommon to see a violinist bring rock and roll to life, and Lettice proved just how powerful this combination can be. Isn’t she inspiring?
