Lauren Sánchez is bringing the sparkle!
On Monday, Sept. 9, the journalist and philanthropist, 54, attended the third annual Kering Foundation Caring for Women dinner in a long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder black mermaid gown that featured a low back and intricate lace floral detailing.
Sánchez teamed the dress with a chic updo and large, sparkly silver earrings.
While her fiancé, Jeff Bezos, 60, didn’t walk the red carpet, he reunited with Sánchez inside the New York City event, where the couple posed with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Alessandra Ambrosio, among others.

“Nothing like getting all dressed up and enjoying good company to calm the pre-book launch jitters!” Sanchez wrote on her Instagram while sharing photos of her look. “Honored to support an amazing cause @keringfoundation with the incredible @salmahayek tonight. Feeling grateful and excited for tomorrow. 🚀”
In a new interview with Elle published on Monday, Sept. 9, Sánchez discussed her style choices with editor-in-chief Nina Garcia.
“I love fashion, and I love the Latin culture,” she said. “I dress very Latin. Think of Sofía Vergara. Think of Salma Hayek. I really just kind of remain committed to expressing my true, authentic self through fashion, and some people really love it, and some people really hate it, and that’s okay.”

Garcia replied that she should celebrate herself — and said she truly believes that she does, to which Sánchez said, “And celebrate all Latinas.”
Sánchez and Bezos made a splash in May when the couple attended their first Met Gala. She wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown with a floral, “shattered glass”-inspired skirt, Vogue reported at the time. It was partially inspired by Louis Comfort Tiffany’s iconic glasswork, per the outlet.

Speaking about the dress ahead of its red carpet debut, Sánchez told the magazine, “In my head, it’s definitely a metaphor for life, because it’s a little bit about all your broken pieces in life and putting those pieces back together.”
“It’s not just a dress,” she added. “It is really a piece of art.”
