Angelina Jolie is one proud mom!
Days after Jolie’s daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, was filmed dancing at Spelman College’s Welcome Back Jam with her Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority sisters, a source tells PEOPLE, “Angelina is proud of her, her AKA sisters, and all of the extraordinary young women at Spelman.”
A new video of Zahara performing at the recent AKA Leadership Night for the Spelman Class of 2028 shows the teen dancing along with seven of her sorority sisters. The 19-year-old joined the sorority back in November 2023.
In a video from Essence, she introduced herself as a new Alpha Kappa Alpha Mu Pi chapter member in front of a large crowd, declaring, “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie. And [I] landed all the way from the Golden State in the city full of angels: Los Angeles, California.”
Jolie, 49, who shares Zahara with ex Brad Pitt, first announced that her daughter would attend Spelman in July 2022.
“Zahara with her Spelman sisters! Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl,” she wrote alongside an Instagram photo of Zahara with her friends.
Jolie has often supported Zahara throughout her transition into college, including being present during her move-in process in August 2022 and attending one of the sorority lunches.
