The pop star recovered from the faux pas like a pro before making her way to her front row seat
All eyes were on Madonna at New York Fashion Week as she made a rare appearance at the sartorial event.
On Tuesday, Sept. 10, the “Material Girl” singer, 66, attended the Luar fashion show at the iconic Rockefeller Plaza in daring heels that caused her to stumble on her way to the front row.
In a video shared to X (formerly known as Twitter), the Grammy winner can be seen casually walking to her assigned seat before faltering in her thigh-high leather boots. The crowd went quiet for a few seconds, which is the amount of time it took Madonna to recover from the incident after leaning on a man, presumably a security guard, for stability.

Although her shoes may have caused some trouble, Madonna did have an assist with her coat, which, in addition to big shoulder pads, also featured a long train that was thankfully being held as she walked across the venue.
Her daring look also consisted of multiple accessories, including her jewelry and the two pairs of sunglasses she layered for the nighttime event.
Madonna wasn’t the only one in her family descending on the Big Apple for all the fashionable festivities. Her kids, daughter Lourdes Leon, 27, and son David Banda, 18, also made their rounds.
Leon, a model and Fashion Week fixture, attended the Willy Chavarria show with her dad, Carlos Leon, (a rare public outing for the father-daughter duo) before hitting The Cut and Old Navy ‘90s-theme party in a sporty tracksuit.
Over the weekend, Banda also made his NYFW debut, walking in Off-White’s spring 2025 show in a sleeveless plaid shirt showing off his biceps, black pants and sandals.

Madonna previously told Jimmy Fallon in an August 2022 The Tonight Show episode that Banda has a penchant for fashion, just like her. That year, he was famously photographed alongside his mother, wearing a replica of an Adidas dress she sported in 1993.
“He can put on any outfit and look swag as you know what,” Madonna said. “It’s really irritating. He wears my clothes and looks better in them.” Adding, “He can even wear a dress.”
